
Elderberries are packed with antioxidants, Vitamins A, B and C and not only help support your immune system but also give it an extra boost during times of illness. The addition of ginger and honey increase the anti-inflammatory properties in the syrup and may help ease a persistent cough.
R E C I P E
3/4 cup of Dried Elderberries
2.5 cups of Water
2 Tbsp Freshly grated ginger
1 tsp Cloves
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 cup Raw Honey
Place elderberries, water, ginger, cinnamon and clove in a saucepan and simmer on low heat for 45 mins to 1 hour until reduced by about half.
Take off the heat and allow to cool before stirring in the honey. Store in jar in the fridge.
Dose- 1 tsp per day for kids
1 tbsp per day for adults
Can also be taken every 2-3 hours if unwell for increased benefits
